My feelings were that Romeu looked jaded and about a yard short of pace along with the rest of the midfield
Surprisingly, for Nick, Stephens and Salisu were really effective against the P Leagues claret and blue battering ram. The full backs grew into the game but I had pity for Armstrong against a London wall. When we introduced our own on loan bartering ram the game turned full 180 degrees. I feel sure the man in the middle could have had a better game himself giving some strange decisions along the way. |

The club seem to have outsourced everything they possibly can!!!
As for queueing it was diabolical. I thought it was for the COVID check
Being one of the few thar received my ticket on time I then faced 25 mins getting in to miss the kick off by a minute or so. The scanner took about 3 attempts before letting me in. |

The underlying issue is that offside has become a joke!!!!!
Obviously players move around the pitch on their feet generally and not the sleeve cuff or even their arms. So if the feet are onside the player is onside. Surely that would eradicate stupid decisions a la Bamford goal when he pointed to where he was wanting the ball. |

Why play players out of position?
Ward Prowse is not a right back and was nowhere near quick enough to track Grealish. Diallo could have been a slightly better option but there must be an alternative player who actually plays as a natural RB?
Valery appears good going forward but neglects to get back at the same pace?! Who else have we got? Squad is down to the bare bones!
If Vesty man returns could Stephens play RB? probably not. We are a small experienced squad with little depth. B Team who have you got????????? |

Good point mentioning the goal line.
I watched the never ending analysis of the issue. From one angle only it looked in real time a slight deflection but the hand was in an outstretched position.
If a ball was struck and hit a leg on the goal line then the hand / arm stopped a definite goal, what then? Rule still states no goal?
One step further, if the ball was deflected by another player is that not hand ball?
Mike Dean does seem to have issues with Saints and why did Lee "Aston Villa" mason not review the pitch side monitor? |
