Please Saints , the fans are crying out for more direct faster play. Sit back to recover by all means after a sustained spell of direct attacking football. Pepper their goal with shots for a long period and something will happen. We pass square about 30 yards out with no penetrative pass and then are getting caught almost every game from a misplaced pass and the enevitable breakaway that follows.
Everybody is saying we have one of the best squads in the league but they all appear to be one trick ponies to me. |

What is the most infuriating tactic for me is the farting around across our box when under pressure inviting extra pressure and mistakes as nearly happened after the restart, why do we do this? We look like headless chickens when mistakes are made as the players panic and start to mis passes.

Apart from poor marking at the back at set pieces we must get a clinical finisher or two. Tella can't be expected to score every week like at Burnley, they played a different game of fast passing attacks not pit a pat like we do.

I am fed up watching us attack on the break only for it to slow and start sideways and backward passing allowing the other team to recover and defend. We are not a Barcelona at their best or a man City. The problem is the defensive midfield who obviously are instructed to play this way because the forwards are not sharp enough to react. When we had a clever forward who could hold the ball and create ( pelle was the last we had) he could bring others into play. Why not play caleta carr with jwp next week to sure up that area otherwise we are facing maybe another record loss. |

Great performance by the whole team, only Che looked a little jaded and Redmond's choices are wrong at times.
It irks me the press always say the top teams have an off day when they were outplayed in several departments.
