It was absolutely awful watching Lindsay Vonn's crash just now. I had a relatively negligible ski accident a couple of years ago and strained the interior knee ligament and bruised the knee bones. The pain was unbelievable, to the extent that I only realised a few days later that I'd also fractured my ankle.

Vonn was, incomprehensibly, racing with a ruptured ACL and crashed at speed. She was still screaming in pain 15 minutes after so the painkilling effect of the adrenaline shock clearly wasn't touching the sides. I almost had to vomit seeing it.
