Doing really well, long may it continue. In the Sky commentary of the Derby game Gary Rowatt made a the compliment that in his analysis of what he had seen of QPR this season, what a well coached team we are. Really think our manager and coaching staff are looking confident and it shows.

Got that 1st goal early and never looked back. So pleased Kone has got himself going. Thought Smyth really helped with his first by cutting it back to him rather than taking shot himself.

We will win this one, but have a bit of a struggle at Southampton. Going for a 2-1 win over Swansea but a 3-0 away loss to Southampton.

Dembele playing now against Bristol City…

Says a lot when a club like Coventry pushing for promotion sells a potential young prospect for only £500k, like it says a lot when a club like Brighton sells Taylor Richards for a pittance, when they are selling and dealing with players in the millions!

Como
at 14:33 22 Oct 2026

Como look a team well coached etc. Man Utd look a disjointed, overpaid, expensive set of misfits and have done for quite a few years now. They are almost slipping into that early to mid 70s malaise that saw them relegated to Division 2. No doubt they will sort of bounce back with more money thrown at it, in the hope it sticks.

Injuries

Think it will come to pass that modern football pitches are fantastic looking surfaces that deliver games all year round that they may well be contributing to a propensity of major non contact injuries. Remember a couple of years or so ago Glen Murray former Brighton and Palace striker saying he had reservations that modern pitches were contributing to a rise in non contact type injuries. Not sure all this continual watering of the pitch before games and at ht are helping much either.

With Madsen out for a few weeks now is the time to give young Isak Alemayehu a go in central midfield. He looked pretty good in some of the pre-season games and been suprised he has not been brought off the bench yet.

The team that spent the most.....
at 11:28 18 Oct 2026

I was at the game, sorted of expected us not to be at it yesterday, doubts when Madsen not in the starting 11. That Liam Millar was always a thorn in our side remember him doing the same sort of stuff for Hull a couple of times against us. Remain positive pick ourselves up and start getting the home form going, getting Chair and Burrell back will be a big boost. To be sitting at 9th in the table take that all day at this point in the season, if we can avoid a run of losing streaks and hover within 3 or so points of the top 8 a lot to look forward to.

A bit of a strange game really, sort of felt whoever scored first would go onto win it. Once Birmingham's second goal went in, Rangers woke up a bit but never looked like doing anything.

Highlights of today's defeat

We were poor today, nothing more nothing less, almost though Julien had decided lt was a bit of a lost cause. Why Madesen was missing who knows!

Alfie Lloyd - Well Done
at 10:13 15 Oct 2026

So good to see Alfie get his 1st goal at LR. He is developing nicely and hopefully that goal will push him on. Always liked him since 1st seeing him against Spurs in a friendly a couple of years back. Like the way that Julien has been patient with him and loaning out last season has helped. Strong and with pace just what we need and a trier as well.

Derby Reflection
at 22:28 14 Oct 2026

On the back of a great away point at West Ham, QPR did well tonight at last putting a poor Derby side away by half time. Shame about Mbengue's injury, he could be out for a while with it. You have to say at times we looked really sharp and focused and getting that all important first goal at home gave them confidence. Onwards to Birmingham City, tough game ahead against a good side, but we should be confident in our ability to get a result.

Got the job done by half time, yes a weird 2nd half and probably always was going to be, Derby had to show some guts as they were very poor in the 1st half. Shame about Mbengue's injury did not look good. Anyway great result a strong home win at last.

Unlucky not to score and that big Derby Centre half crocked which has put Derby under a lot of pressure.

Unbeaten away, struggling at home
at 08:29 13 Oct 2026

This is a very good point on the tightness of our pitch, we do at the moment seem better away from home on more expansive pitches. Much more space to play in, whereas at QPR you have to move the ball quickly when in attack as the narrowness allows players to get back quickly and squeeze the play more. Although to be honest other than against Cardiff we have not yet got that valuable goal ahead which is so important to us kicking on at home.
