I thought the recent podcast with Dave Mc, Kevin Gallen and Ben Jacobs was a great listen about this. All 3 of them made some excellent points.
For me someone is making a lot of money out of academies, you spend a fortune to get the facilities for a cat 1 and then you loan players out to play at clubs with worse facilities so they can play mens football so to cover you sign loads more players to fill your academy teams. The whole thing feels a bit insane to me.
Brentford had the right idea in scrapping it but they've now had to bite the bullet and sign up to it.
I get the hype from the club about the dev squad and it's not terrible or anything but I'll wait and see if we get any results from it, very few players end up in our first team for a sustained period, the ones that do have usually signed from somewhere else. I've been hearing the same stuff from QPR for over a decade now about what we plan to do and this time next year things will be better, the faces change but we are always a year away from being able to judge anyone. |

There seem to be a clamour for it from pundits and journalists. for Bothroyd his main job now is to talk about refs and VAR so of course he wants a bit more of that lovely pie. |

He's a goner next week, I think he comes across quite well though, don't really have the anger towards him others do. He came to us for decent money , was pretty good the first six months but after that hardly ever played as Redknapp didn't want him |

We needed that second goal but seemed to lose belief a bit as the game wore on. We were very good for the first hour though.
Charles save from the penalty rebound was superb as well.
I feel for the manager as the subs are all pre arranged and they cost us, all made due to injury/fitness and still ended up with 2 injured players on the pitch at the end, becoming a farce now |

I thought Hannah would be a good pick but she has had a personality transplant since getting picked. Miranda has been quite clever working it all out but staying quiet. The Traitors this series are all over the place, they need to do far more random murders. I'd be going for one of King kenny guy or Rob Beckett people no one has any thoughts on to confuse everyone. |

Rooney was great in 2004 but after that his record in tournaments was awful, didn't score in a World Cup until 2014 and even then went out in group stages. |

I think the Traitors are going too obvious, they need to plan ahead more. They should have killed Ross Kemp which leaves 2 suspects and takes the heat off for a few days.
Richard E Grant just blurting out that he was picked was superb tv though, what an idiot but I think I'd probably do the same as well, he was giddy with excitement.
It's such a good show and doing just 2 series a year keeps it fresh, usually they just kill these kind of shows by doing them too often |
