You'll do anything but say you were wrong won't you? The pass from Gordon was a simple one that he got horribly wrong. Certainly not Rodney's fault. But it's clear that you made your mind up that you were going to have a go at him last night, and refuse to acknowledge the many good things he contributed. |

Correct. Think it was Gordon who misplaced a defensive pass straight to them from which they scored. Rodney was nowhere near the incident. |

Rodney been really good tonight. He and East playing well. We need to play in their half as much as possible because they are dangerous up front. Good advert for the national league so far. |

Well said Saxon. Exactly what I've concluded. we have a very good squad, but the four players you mention are almost essential to our success. If at all possible, we should be playing as much of Whatmuff, EEL, Gilmour and Mani as possible. The other players should fit in around them and usually compliment this excellent spine of the team. |

Just finished watching the replay on Dazn. We huffed and puffed but quality of crosses in the second half was very poor. If I was asked to name the best two players this season, I'd say EEL and Gilmour. Very strange decision to rest both together. Momentum is crucial and we have been full of it recently. Mani being subbed and Alarakia staying on so long when Moss has been playing so well are also strange decisions. On to Tuesday now against a Scunthorpe team who will be hurting after their result today. Up the Dale |

Happy to be a goal ahead but it's an awful spectacle. No flowing football on show so far. However, we are winning so the tactics are justified. Come on Dale. |

I was at the Fulham game you mentioned, and it was abandoned at half time because of fog. It had been quite bad at kick off but went decidedly worse and by half time you couldn't see more than 30 yards. We don't seem to suffer from fog as much these days. Sometimes it was bad for several days at a time back then. |

1-1 on the hour and probably fair so far. We look lightweight up front and need Smith and Rodney on if fit. If we lift it 20% we can win this. |

Absolutely the right decision to abandon the game. Both of our goals were because it was unplayable in large parts. However, the ridiculous amount of rain in the hours before and during play would have forced many games to be stopped...as happened in Blackburn. Sorry to the Southend fans who made the journey in good numbers. Hopefully, you'll understand that neither of us wanted that outcome. Some of the comments I've read here and elsewhere are just ridiculous and demonstrate a lack of intelligence. ( Hi Rob) The owners have now decided to invest a huge sum of money in completely relaying the pitch and more importantly, the drains, which just can't cope with the volume of rainfall we get in Rochdale. They are to be applauded for this and we are very grateful to them. Safe journey home to all. |

Different game this half. Very fortunate equaliser but we could have had another by now. Still feel the subs mentioned by almost everyone would strengthen us. We have to be mindful that Southend finish games strongly. |

Looks like men against boys such is their complete dominance. Got to question the selection today in heavy conditions ( not that Southend are struggling) . Surely Pritchard and Barlow have to come on at half time. Galvin and McBride have been poor whilst East and Beckwith are well below par. Cmon Dale...we haven't shown up yet. |

If last season taught us anything, it was that they will press us in midfield. We started as if we didn't expect this at all and they have deservedly taken the lead following slack play down the our right. Hoping for a good response from us. |

Two ways to look at today's performance. Its another win at a potentially difficult venue and another three vital points towards a promotion challenge. However there should have been a much bigger margin of victory today. ,and our disappointing finishing could easily have cost us a couple of points. I still think we need to keep a player upfront when defending set pieces and we definitely need to have more accurate shots on goal. Overall, happy with the win. Into the next one. |

Unbelievable throwing away of top order wickets because of too much reliance on 20 20 and the hundred. Both teams bowling was good but our performance was a million miles away from test cricket. And the aussies will strengthen when injured players return. Baseball didn't work on this pitch and it gives them a big advantage going forward. |

Very thankful of the 3 points against an Aldershot team that caused us quite a few problems and I'm sure who thought they deserved a point. We were well below par because they pressed us effectively for an hour before tiring somewhat which allowed us to get space behind them. Very happy with the win. On another day we could easily have lost that. So grateful for the club in investing the funds to enable the game to go ahead even though the pitch is obviously in need of major remieal work to get through the next couple of months. Will be interesting to see what happens for the next few months as it will become increasingly difficult to play on the COA pitch |
