French Economy in Trouble
at 09:02 1 Nov 2026

Makes you wonder why Ireland pays so little with its very high GDP due to the multi nationals moving their EU profits to Ireland to pay low corporation tax.

The changing income tax landscape
at 08:59 1 Nov 2026

The myth about zero hours contracts still exist. Nobody actually works zero hours and it gives workers and employees flexibility. The average hours for workers on zero hours is about 30 hours and this includes people who want to work part-time and students who combine work with their studies.

When asked about 20% of those on zero hours wanted to work more hours and about 30% wanted to work more hours

If Angela gets her way and forces employees to off 40 hours a week it will mean less people in work a d even higher benefits paid to those who lose their jobs.

The Budget
at 08:51 1 Nov 2026

Looks very much like a pre-election budget a few Sweetners but all the major decisions like how to cut benefits bills, how increase defence spending and what other taxes to increase all differed until after the election, which they think they can win due to the Burnham bounce and the Conservatives and Reform splitting the middle of the road and right wing vote.

Welsh Labour M4 Relief Road
at 09:01 19 Oct 2026

As I remember the Conservatives agreed to fully fund the M4 relief road as part of the UK national infrastructure programme.

Drakeford of course refused on principle. He of course gladly accept far small sums from the EU to part fund the A465 heads of the valley road.
He even insisted on a 50mph speed limit on the Clydach gorge section as he said motorist would be confused by the new road layout.

We now have the farcical situation of a modern dual carriageway having a 50 mph speed limit, while some sections the old Single carriageway had a 60 mph limit.

Greece, Italy, France, Belgium and Spain all have higher national debts, as a proportion of GDP than the UK.

Booze Runs to England
at 08:45 19 Oct 2026

Total myth that England was Wales before the Anglo saxons arrived.
There was no such countries as Wales , England and Scotland.

It was the Romans they called the area as Britania. It consisted of tribes large and small across the whole of the UK. They all spoke different languages some were similar but even in Wales there were 5 different areas defined by recent DNA analysis. Some of these tribes were as different from each other DNA speaking.

When the Romans left the tribes in the UK gradually merged to form small countries like Wessex, Mercia etc. The people on North, South and Mid Wales were pretty much the same.

When the Vikings, Saxons etc invaded the local population stayed where they were. They did not flee in panic to populate Wales.

Even by 1066 the population of Wales was estimated at 150,000 and England was 2,000,000.

Unfortunately the EU is falling apart with its open borders etc.
When we left the EU our economy was small than France. Despite covid, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and Trumps war in Iran and two years of labour taxing UK business, the IK economy has overtaken France..

Still some people think we would be better off in the EU, despite us having to pay £20 billion a year in extra taxes to join.

Swansea City 0 - 1 West Ham United - Player Ratings and Reports
at 08:23 19 Oct 2026

If it hits the crossbar isu is not considered on target. The same applies to shots on targets that are block by defenders they are not classed as on target.

The only shots that are classed as are on target are those saved by the goal keeper.

Swansea City v West Ham United : Match Thread
at 08:20 19 Oct 2026

Seemed full to me. Far less seating set aside for segregation and the North West corner blocks were released for saleva lot earlier than usual. The only spare seats were the ones reserved for disabled supporters and their helpers. Perhaps once the ground is sold out these tickets could be released for general sale.

It will be interesting how many of the "new" supporters will return for the Blackburn match.

Correct after the United Nations mandate declared the two state solution in 1948, I think. The un allocated gazza and the West Bank as a homeland for Palistinians and a small area for the state of Israel in their historic homeland for thousands of years.

The Arab countries completely rejected this mandate. Egypt annexed and invaded gazza. Jordan annexed and invaded the West Bank.

If only the Arabs has accepted this solution then 10000s of thousands of lives would have been saved and perhaps a peaceful, prosperous middle east my have existed.

I agree with you Hamas targeting women and Children at a pip concert is despicable.

Muslim terrorist have killed more fellow Muslims than Israel ever has yet this is apparent fine with Corbyn and other left wing parties.

When you add in the Muslim rape gangs targeting Children in England and Wales it makes you wonder why the left do not condem this. As London mayor Sadiq Khan said there are no rape gangs in London.
