Sadly, Saints were far too good for us......their forward play was very good indeed, a danger most of the time.

Where we fail - Wingers as back up defenders

And I fail to see why Vale gets soooooo much game time.......worst QPR player on the pitch last week in a very good win & pretty poor yesterday as well. What am I missing about this individual & what does JS see in him??

I do not believe that he will be starting again v Burnley.

I thought that JS would pick the same side & very similar line up & very similar tactics.....why would you when the Team has just beaten top of the league in Swansea. Loose like we did yesterday and everyone, and I mean everyone, would be questioning the Manager.

However, yesterday we were playing a very decent team in Southampton and we were playing away from home. Perhaps playing the same line up would be OK but tactically, with two very forward thinking players up front, was not a good idea. I am not a 'fan' of Vale so I would probably of played Smyth wide (giving Boy some assistance) & replaced Vale with JCS and moving Edwards from CB to sit in front of the back 4 giving us a far more cover for the defence.

Yes took his goal very well indeed.....BUT watch his overall performance and, specifically, the goal that we conceded from a Saints corner.

He was very average today and nowhere near the level he was last week.

Edwards could be a big asset today, not only on the pitch but also the knowledge that he has about Saints, we will see.

Big test for us......need to start very well indeed.

Fantastic player......deserves whatever he gets, proper person. Kids wanting to be a good pro footballer and a good man generally should watch him and behave accordingly.

I remember watching him play here for Spurs in an FA cup tie a few years ago, got a lot of grief from some R's fans but as good as stuck his fingers up when he scored, if I recall rightly, a neat header and got a second as well.

I am very pleased for him.

Time to move on boys, he was very good against Swansea but the previous games that he has played this season and the back end of last season has been very average indeed, very poor on many occasions.

Lets see if he can have another good game, starting with Southampton on Saturday.

That's what happens now mate, players/agents run it. That is why & 'how come' Kolli is still here!!!

We do need to have a top season though & have some funds to pay for him &, most importantly, he wants to become a Ranger..

If he wants to join the Club and the club, QPR, want him and have the finances then he will become a QPR player........100% if we have a good season.

Interactive ratings/report for yesterday

He is decent, thought that the first time I saw him in the hoops shirt. Gets 'in there' where it hurts, knocks a good ball & very much a Team player.....not sure how quick he is but his positioning is good.

Best Performance in years.
at 12:52 25 Oct 2026

I cannot remember 3 months ago let alone 10 years!!!

It was a very decent performance indeed starting with the Manage & Coaches in the way we were set up to beat Swansea.....the players then played a big part in executing the plan and playing a massive part in the win.

Different kettle of fish next Saturday and we will have to play as well as we did yesterday to get a result......but we could well get a result if we play with the confidence that we did yesterday, however it will be proper tough because of the way the Saints are performing and the quality of their players. Interesting.

JS set the team formation up excellently and well done to him & his team. The Team, and you could easily talk about some very good individual performances, played very well indeed, some of the short passing in very tight situations was 'proper' and fair play to them, you could not do that if you were not full of confidence.

swansea at home....match thread..

Swansea may be top of the league but are nothing special. We have a very sound base....

The keeper & back four, including Adamson, pick themselves and are pretty steady this season, add Edwards as a DM & we have another decent defender/player.....5 of them would get in most Championship sides. I would expect Cirkin to be starting and is decent. that leaves 4, Smyth (7/10 this season), Saiko & then add the Managers pet/favourite Vale but I would opt for Varane & not Vale. That leaves a forward which will hopefully be Lloyd but could be Kolli to 'swan' around!! A bit defensive but lets keep what we got & look to get some players forward when the time arises. Key, though, is taking our chances.

Surprisingly the R's are 7/5 favourites with BET365 to win the game.

Injuries
at 10:39 21 Oct 2026

I, too, have walked on the pitches at Heston. I have watched several matches there, as well, watching the young boys play. Those pitches are 'top dollar', proper decent pitches, the surfaces are the very best I have seen or played on. The pitches cannot be the issue.

Moving on, I just cannot understand how we get so many injuries, I also do not understand why we over protect our players, from injury apparently, so frequently because we are still getting injuries, I also do not understand why there is so much commotion at the Club about 3 games a week, moaning about players travelling back from international games and how tired they must be, etc, etc.

I, also, fail to see why most posters blame Williams because of 'this & that', I do not know if it is all Williams doing but.......If he was that bad I am sure he would have been replaced by now even if he is best mates with Nourry. Despite being best friends (apparently!!) Nourry would not jeopardise the 'Nourry Project' and get himself a bad name and not succeed and limiting his CV ,

I do not know why all this injury stuff is happening, I suspect many, if not all, of the posters here do not know either but are simply unfounded opinions.
