Earlier in the season, when Key was available, I was torn on whether our best back four included him.
Now with Eustaquio always making himself available, I think two ball players in the back four is enough and I wouldn’t sacrifice Cabangos physicality. I’d probably leave Key out, as harsh as that is.
His mistakes get magnified, but he’s thrown his body on the line and prevented near certain goals a few times already this season. |

Something definitely needs to be done about that. Ref knew exactly what was going on but was powerless to do anything. As you say, we got the ball back, but they had everyone in position for the restart.

There is no difference between the ‘Englands full of shit’ chants that OHL and Union don’t like and ‘sheepshagger’ chants that Resolven finds offensive. They are opposite sides of the same coin.
Neither should be compared to the abuse Eom had at Milwall. |

He’ll mainly go with Eustaquio and Stamenic with one place up for grabs I reckon. There will be rotation of course, but those two will start the bulk of games when available.
Widdell looked very good out wide the other day. |

Over the course of the season I suspect you’d probably be right and I’d like to have someone with Waltas qualities on the bench. I suspect Matos would as well and that Walta would like a bit more. I wouldn’t blame him at all.
Saying it’s cost us in three home games may technically be true, but it’s a bit of a moot point given we’ve never started a season better.
I don’t see Matos giving up physicality and endeavour in midfield for a flair player, particularly when we play with two wingers and two attacking fullbacks. |

I think Eusatquio is the preferred option because of how quickly he gets us moving from defence to attack. A back line with Welsh and Lissah with Eustaquio playing in front of them gives us options we’ve never had before.
Walta, I’m not sure either way. He also had an audacious flick against Charlton, he hardly touched it, but he took two defenders out of the game. Pure quality. But he’s not physical, didn’t press much in any of his games and doesn’t do the dirty work. Luxury player. Great of you can accommodate them, I’m not sure if you can in a 433. |

Well exactly, it’s not as if we didn’t have a couple of very good chances yesterday. Put a light weight flair player in there and he may produce a bit of magic, but there’s a much higher chance of us getting overrun in midfield,

He did have a good game besides the free kick against Charlton, but he’d had a few sub appearances before that and showed very little.
Hard to judge either way when he’s new at the club from a slower paced league and hadn’t played for a while and the Charlton match was half paced with nothing on it. |

Regarding the Eom situation, the game was held up for seven minutes, a tannoy announcement was made and the guy was arrested within a day or two. He’ll be banned from football as a minimum.

Yes it is and Matos manages rotation very well.
Eusatquio is probably the only player we can’t cover. We’ve got players who can play in his position, but no one who can do what he does. We’ve got at least two quality players who can slot in for each other everywhere else. Even then, we’ve won the two games he’s missed, albeit with less fluid performances.
2.3 points per game is definitely not sustainable over a season. That’s PSG and Bayern numbers and they don’t have serious competition.
Yes I agree, we’ll know where we are after we’ve played the top teams. I’ll start considering us automatic contenders if we win tomorrow though. |
