Yes the Wensum is very close to Beccles, and yes it is beautiful scenery.
I too watch those two old'uns fishing and yakkin about thier heart problems.
Funny programme.
It's a wonder they haven't put the crew in hospital the way the throw (not cast) their lines about.

Jannik Vestergaard signing confirmed
at 12:29 13 Jul 2018

We should all feel pleased with this signing, a central defender at last.
Also a big one, which should help with set pieces. We haven't had that since Vardy decided to take out VVD.
Now, we will see if those other CBs linked to us, Gibson, Marlon etc. are genuine targets or just fallback targets in case he didn't sign. In other words, is he the only CB we will sign or is he the first of two.
If it's Hughes's intention to use 3 centre backs, he may go for another CB in this window.
So far this window is showing an intention that we won't go anywhere near a relegation battle this coming season.
A class striker would be the icing on the cake now.

The conversation was about keepers that were connected..Angus/ my son/ Joe Lewis..plus others who were at Norwich
When someone asks about Lewis with question mark I thought he was referring to Joe Lewis, not Harry Lewis, thats why I ASKED HIM.

The answer is obvious Harry Lewis position will not alter one jot..it is obvious that we are moving Forster on. Harry Lewis is still number 3 in the pecking order.

Sorry for misunderstanding you Butty..

Are you happy now Cornflake ?

I have found out TCM is accussing me of not knowing this deal was on until a few days ago..
that's easy to disprove

Anyhow I not going to divulge anything a friend tells me that would get them into trouble
So enough of this insane pettyness that is totally taken over this site.

That , for me, is at the crux of the way we compete.
If we manage to keep him then we will be a top half team, lose him and it will be more difficult.
A top class player but unfortunatly he is a nightmare to manage, with Hughes we have a good chance.
Keeping him would be the best bit of buisness done in what's turning out to be a good window.
Just a natural goalscoring striker will make it perfect.....

"Cakir had a tendency to send off players of English-based teams having dismissed seven but never any from teams playing against them."

Look at how his name is spelt..

I would think we are bound to sell a few to get some money back. Also we are only allowed a certain amount to register in our squad. Think it's about 25, plus a few academy players and under 25s.
Can't be arsed to find out exactly what number, but someone will google it no doubt.

it's very common, two of my 4 sons have gone through ITFC ACADEMY and got contracts.
Yes, Dad keepers push their sons. We don't have kick abouts we throw balls for each otherto catch, then to catch bringing the ball into 'shape'.
By the age of 7 I used to 'hammer' footballs at my lads... Yes it's pushy but I knew what was wanted at the age of 8.
And of course I knew who to make aware of my lads. My first one had 3 invites on his 8th birthday, the had 7 clubs invite him. But knowing Malcolm Webster at ITFC, There was only one place they were going.
It also helped my 2 nd lad to have Pat Jennimgs helping me coach him, and Glenn Hoodle was helping as well. (my son went to the same school as he did in Harlow.

edit... shouldn't forget, Pat Jennings son also made it through the academy stage too, he was also called Pat....played for QPR

I understand that but his huge price is dictated by his huge potential. By a huge club, who with other 'top clubs' are 'farming' the best youngsters to stop other rivals getting him.

Last season he went on loan to Norwich to get a 'few games'. Once in the first team he couldn't be replaced, and played all the season, aged 20-21 in the Championship? a goal keeper? usually take till 25 to mature enough ? We are buying a good one, no doubts.

BTW IMO He will be our regular first team keeper by the end of the season, if not McCarthy would have had a blinder of a season....that's what you call competion, and Hughes seems to be doing that all over our squad...
