Tonda, was the best manager in the Championship 2026 year by far. Southampton fc will never get a better manager, ever! The way to look at this is in percentages, best probability is this, his tactics plus training, inspiration and motivation of the squad is 85/90% the foolish spy stuff = 10 - 15% advantage. I personally would take the 85/90% advantage of having Tonda as manager every day!!
Yes, agree with you but having witnessed the awful Premier league season of 24/25 I thought nothing could be worse and in my opinion it is still the case that the 24/25 season was the most awful we experienced. Just need a bit of time to overcome this extreme disappointment and hope we can continue the success of this (now last season) for 26/27! Also it was never a given we could have overcome Hull. They are on the assent and have a very good chance of beating Middlesbrough. Yes, I sure hope Hull win!!
Of course there is no let’s move on etc! But having not posted here for some years I have to say simply, if some of the players decide to sue then let it be! We simply do not need that mentality in the squad right now and yes it will identify those who are most financially motivated over club. We had one of the best team in the Championship if not the best in the 2026 year and this can most certainly continue if we keep Tonda Eckert as manager. He is the best we have had in many years and I do forgive him unconditionally because even though he has been foolish and doubted his managerial ability by engaging in such dubious activity he can continue to be be the best manager in the Championship, I do hope we can keep him and move on!
I agree with you and I am sure many of you here remember when Ralph Hasenhüttl was manager he Howe played dark arts in early 2021 when he managed to get a match with Southampton suspended because he argued 6 of his players had covid without any evidence and the FA agreed to this. I always remember Ralph going ballistic arguing that this was the first time the FA did this. Also Newcastle were in or near bottom 3 at that point before they were bought by or just bought by their current owners. Also the media at that time commented on how unusual that cancellation was!
If you really really want to know where Rickie is coming from then think it may be this documentary which challenges our thinking regarding who is running the planet at this time. Yes there is climate change and yes COVID existed but you should be free to decide for yourself if you want to be vaccinated or not! No one involved in this documentary has anything to do with QAnon in fact they are professionals challenging us to at least open our minds!
I know you have addressed this already but Ruben Selles has managed to get us 6 points from 3 games. Tomorrow a point I think be best result but most unlikely. Right now I am hoping Ruben Selles will stay with us if we go to Championship! He has potential to get us back to premier league hopefully within a year or two !!
I am not trying to be defeatist but we are lucky we are still in Premier League. It is time to let loose and go down to Championship. Simply put: when in the last 5 years have we ever properly felt safe. Always near bottom or at least been there the majority of the time. Time for another readjustment using Championship to try and build better. Even if it takes 4 years but that is the reality of our situation.

Is it fair to say if playing Jack Grealish who gets most free kicks close to goal, that Ward Prowse should be paired with him (Grealish). Wardie being the best English free kicker available to England? Sometimes it should not be all about best tactical team but best pairing and tactics.

Yes you are right but regardless of Saints v Newcastle at that time this is about many officials completely showing favouritism towards top teams and for this match the time added on after full time was 5. Time waisting from Newcastle after 90 minuets was very little (maybe 30 - 40 sec) but Liverpool were given extra 3 minuets and after they scored at 98 minuets the whistle sounded. All wrong no matter what way you look at it. I reiterate that I have no alliance to Newcastle at all!!
Something is wrong and we supporters and teams below top 5/6 are fodder for officials and other influence. I just don’t feel comfortable supporting Premier league anymore and delighted when we can beat top teams. That for me is like winning league (Premier etc).
If ever you need proof of favour for top teams then Liverpool v Newcastle is the one!!! I know we should have been given penalties against Man U but this match is the one which confirms favouritism towards top teams. No way should Liverpool have won this on 8 minuets out of 5 minuets into extra time. Yes the Newcastle goalkeeper wasted about 20 seconds pretending to be hurt but adding extra 2 minuets because of this is corrupt. I don’t even have any remote alliance to Newcastle but honestly!!
Yes and in spite of result! The team were top class and there is no way we should be in bottom half of table. I have had mixed feelings about Ralph but now realise he is the best manager for us right now and hopefully he will continue to get the best out of the team we have!!
Ditto! Yes he wants out for sure and I am not trying to be sarcastic. When you put together the new backs set up (2 with no or very little experience in premier league) most accomplished players left out, it is fair to say he either was experimenting or throwing in towel. Which ever it was, it clearly showed a lack of commitment to club! They should now try and persuade Howe to take over before it is too late!!!
