Why has he only been charged now? Hasn’t he been interviewed by the FA already in the past few weeks. It feels like the EFL process and the FA process over this have been completely different. |

Pickford has played in four semi finals now’s in the past five tournaments and yet some people go to the lazy line that Pickfords not good enough, prone to mistakes etc. The last four times England have conceded three goals or more, have one thing in common.
Pickford wasn’t playing.
He’s head and shoulders above all of his challengers. |

Spain have been incredibly almost business like in this World Cup, so professional, no drama, no fuss, no histrionics. Rodri is getting back to his best, their structure looks solid, they have some cracking players. I hope they wipe the floor with Argentina and can’t see them getting caught up with the Argie gobshittery antics. |

Have they improved since Southgate? It’s clear that there has been improvement over the last 20 years and you look at the progress since they got St George’s Park, they’ve now been in 4 semi finals in their last five tournaments. But for this tournament the semi’s were to be expected as a minimum. I’ve never known so many England fans to be in unison about the phuck ups with the subs.
If he doesn’t do well in the Nations League, Spain coming up first, he could be gone if the FA grow some balls ahead of a tournament in this country. Pep anyone? |

Last night was all on Tuchel and his subs, bringing on defenders instead of fresh attackers was ridiculous. Up until that point the defence were doing okay and Argentina didn’t pose much of a threat, they sat back, showed them far too much respect and got done.
Playing an unfit Reece James at right midfield/wing back was naive too. As was taking him in the first place given his injury record in recent years. Not taking an out an out left back i.e. Lewis Hall was careless too.
Declan Rice looked goosed and yet he gave Mainoo zero minutes. Rodri would have had a field day on Sunday if England had won last night. |

They were a snidey team, using every trick in the book knowing that they could get away with anything. Simeone committed about 5 yellow card fouls and the ref let him get away with it. They’ve been like that all tournament.
I hope Spain absolutely batter them.
As for the banner, nothing will happen to them as they have Infantino in their pocket. |

It would be great to have a manager who is more attack minded, completely let Argentina off the hook there. Hasn’t Tuchel got another 2 years. With the tournament being in the UK, let’s hope he takes off the handbrake and has a proper go at it. They will have a great chance of winning it. |

Those tactics were madness. Argentina are no great shakes, going one nil up bringing loads of defenders on and sitting back with no one holding the ball up was suicidal tactics. England did the same against Croatia in 2018 and Italy in 2021. The best form of defence should have been attack. Bring on fresh players like Saka or Eze who have pace, can keep hold of the ball and could stretch them not Dan Burn FFS. |

Moyes ruined Preston’s season by recalling Armstrong from loan at PNE and then have him sitting on the bench with Rohl, George, Dibling and Aznou.
I like Dobbin, played well whenever he came on for Everton, mostly as a sub, fast and direct, knows where the net is. Still only 23 so he has some good years left in him, hopefully. |

I’m not sure 10k fans including 900 away fans are going to generate much information. Whenever I’ve gone to Bournemouth I’ve been near the town and always get off in Parkstone.
When Saints are on blob and in the premier league, they definitely bring in loads of money into the local economy. |

The red card was harsh but I’ve seen them given. For Trump to get involved is completely off the scale for what is appropriate. I can see why Belgium would be livid. If this was against England, we would be quite rightly fuming. It’s astonishing that FIFA have adhered to a request from a president regarding an on field football matter. |

Defo on Gibbs White. I’d have taken both. If Palmer has had a poor season, Madueke has barely been noticeable. The right back situation is laughable. I’m no fan of TAA, but dear me Djed Spence is hopeless and has had a poor season. Remember when Spurs always had players in WC squads regardless of how crap they are, e.g. Gary Steven’s (not the Everton one). Defo getting vibes of that. |
