Evil signs for Grays Wednesday, 5th Aug 2009 17:22 Former Dale striker Lee McEvilly has found himself a new club and has signed for Blue Square Premier side Grays Athletic. Evil had been without a club since leaving Dale at the end of the season, when a mutually agreed deal was reached for him to leave on a free transfer. There has been speculation early in the Summer of a return to Barrow where he spent a loan spell last season, but nothing came of the talks between McEvilly and the Cumbrian side.
In signing for Grays, he is moving to a club who's Chairman is former West Ham midfielder John Moncur. The Essex club finished in 19th place in the Blue Square Premier last season, narrowly avoiding relegation. There has been talk of a move to Man City for Evil in certain quarters of the press.
This move means that pretty much all of the players to have left Spotland over the Summer have sorted themselves with new clubs:
