Rumours circulating in Leicester suggest Leeds have agreed a fee of £350,000 for City defender Lee Peltier.

The Leicester Mercury report that the right-back will return to West Yorkshire in a cut price deal. Leicester shelled out £750,000 to our dear friends from Huddersfield last summer.

However having changed their manager mid-season, Leicester are having a bit of a clear- out and this is not the first time United have been linked with the Liverpool born defender this summer.

Peltier began his career at Anfield and moved out on loan to Hull and Yeovil, eventually joining the Glovers permanently before his move to the Galpharm.

It is understood Huddersfield are also monitoring the situation, however the feeling is that a move to Leeds is all but a done deal and it will get the green light once Leeds new owners take the helm next week.

Another Leicester misfit who was also linked with Leeds, Matt Mills is on the verge of joining Bolton in a deal which could rise to £2m. Again this would represent a huge loss on the player they paid Reading £5m for a year ago and it was not as if the Royals missed him!

If the Foxes are feeling so benevolent, maybe they could let us have Jermaine Beckford back on the cheap as well!
