Owen injury and the knock on effect for Leeds Tuesday, 13th Nov 2012 19:10 Neil Warnock's hopes of landing Stoke's Cameron Jerome all but ended by yet another injury to Britain's most famous horse-training midget. The words Michael Owen and injury so often go hand-in-hand and on this occasion it has repercussions for Leeds United. The Whites were rumoured to have landed a short-term loan deal for Stoke's Cameron Jerome last week, only for Tony Pullis to pull the plug on the deal in the 11th hour....mainly due to an injury to Michael Owen. Owen was linked with us during the summer, despite the closeness of our training ground to a racecourse however he thankfully opted to join Stoke and take up the place on the treatment table vacated by Jonathan Woodgate. Typically Owen is injured yet again so Pullis has decided Jerome isn't heading north, this looks unlikely to change before the close of the emergency-loan window on November 25th leaving Neil to ponder other options.
