Meet The Ref - Burnley Thursday, 18th Sep 2008 20:32 Matthew Phillips introduces us to the man in the middle for the Burnley game Saturday’s referee is Andy Hall from the West Midlands; he became a football league referee in 1997. He averaged just over 3 yellows per game and sent off 12 players last season, he averages just over 3 yellows this season and has yet to issue a red card – he booked 10 players in last week’s game between Tranmere vs Oldham!! The last game he took charge of was against Oldham on the opening day of last season, he gave a penalty after a minute, but we have only lost 3 times out of 13 with Andy Hall in charge, he can be a very fussy referee at times and doesn’t let the game flow. Stats far 2008-09 season: 5 Games, 17 Yellows, 0 Reds. Games refereed vs Swansea: Vs Cambridge (home) 97/98 Drew 1-1 Vs Southend (home) 98/99 Won 3-1 Vs Millwall (away – LC) 99/00 Drew 1-1 Vs Lincoln (home) 99/00 Won 2-1 Vs Peterboro (away) 00/01 Won 2-0 Vs Brentford (home – FLT) 00/01 Lost 3-2 Vs Scunthorpe (home) 01/02 Drew 2-2 Vs Bristol R (home) 04/05 Won 1-0 Vs Nottm Forest (home) 05/06 Drew 1-1 Vs Stockport (away – FA) 05/06 Lost 2-0 Vs Orient (away) 06/07 Won 1-0 Vs Brentford (home) 06/07 Won 2-0 Vs Oldham (away) 07/08 Lost 2-1 Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
