Saints Get Home Draw In Carling Cup 3rd Round
Saints Get Home Draw In Carling Cup 3rd Round
Wednesday, 28th Aug 2013 22:01

Saints have a great chance to progress in the Carling Cup as they have been drawn at home in what could be deemed the off the peg derby.

Saints will face Bristol City in the 3rd round of the Carling Cup in a tie that will pit two teams who have almost identical off the peg Adidas home kits.

This gives Saints a great chance to progress to the next round and with several all Premier League clashes including Manchester United V Liverpool , West Brom V Arsenal, Aston Villa V Spurs and West Ham V Cardiff as well as tough trips for Swansea at Birmingham and Norwich at Watford, it could see a few big guns out of the competition, therefore its vital Saints despatch Bristol City and move on to the 4th round draw.

Great draw - with the high amount of Premiership clubs facing each other a lot will be eliminated giving us a great chance if we can push on past Bristol and get another kind draw.
We should take this competition very seriously, we have a realistic chance of a trip to Wembley with good performaces and kind home draws and as the Swans prove last year a club of our standing could win this thing.
