Osvaldo Charged With Violent Conduct By FA Wednesday, 18th Dec 2013 18:14 Saints forward Dani Osvaldo has been charged after the melee between the Newcastle and Southampton benches during the draw at St James Park. The Football Association has announced that it will be charging Osvaldo with Violent Conduct alongside Newcastle coach Andy Woodman who was sent to the stands and has himself been charged with improper conduct. The fracas took place after a strong tackle by Morgan Schneiderlin in front of the technical area, in truth the tackle was nothing more than a good robust challenge, but the antics of the Newcastle bench made it quite clear they felt differently, they rose as one and played a big part in getting Schneiderlin booked and then what can only be described as hand bags at dawn took place, although Osvaldo seemed to be quickly ushered away by Stewards and it was unclear just what part he had played. The FA seem to have studied the incident however and now see fit to take action and consider it Violent Conduct. Both parties now have until 23rd December to respond to the charges and either plead guilty and take their punishment or ask for a hearing. On a brighter note neither club has been charged with any offence Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
