Parish doubles keeper numbers Thursday, 7th Aug 2014 19:53 by Editor Like a bus, you wait for one keeper all summer and then two come along at once. Following the arrival of Joe Lewis on Monday, the Seasiders have bolstered their numbers between the nets with the arrival of Elliot Parish from Bristol City. It's ironic that after so many players chose Ashton Gate over Bloomfield Road that finally we have one coming back the other way. With Lewis unable to play against his former club Cardiff, there was always going to be the need for another shot stopper at Bloomfield Road and that's come in the shape of the 24 year old keeper. He began his career at Aston Villa and ironically also played at the Bluebirds before joining Bristol City last summer and making 24 appearances. We have now found out that he was in the nets on Saturday in Blackpool's 1-0 defeat against Burnley and received some decent reviews from Blackpool fans. With just one more day to go until we see what sort of side Jose Riga has put together, there are still some gaps in the Seasiders side and we await to see whether they arrive before the team coach departs for Nottingham.
