Monk - I Know What I Want To Try At Chelsea
Wednesday, 5th Aug 2015 06:13 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

Garry Monk has just three days to tweak his side and plans for the season opener at Chelsea on Saturday and while he is keeping his cards close to his chest he clearly has a plan in his head for what he wants to do.

Monk has seen his side come through pre-season unbeaten ahead of the start of the season that sees them take on the Champions on their own patch.

Twelve months on from that famous win at Old Trafford, Monk has the chance on Saturday to create history against as he takes his team in search of a first ever Premier League win at Stamford Bridge.

Monk seems to have plenty of options ahead of him after a successful summer of shopping that has seen him bring in four players with nobody leaving the club giving us a stronger squad than last season when we finished in 8th place - a highest ever Premier League finish for the Swans.

So what are his plans for Saturday? Unsurprisingly he is keeping his cards close to his chest as he prepares his team for the game,

"We're working on different things behind the scenes as well, so we'll see.
"In my mind I have an idea of what I want to try to do at Chelsea.
“I looked at a few different things in the Deportivo La Coruna game which I’ll keep to myself but I’ve done that through preseason and we’ll see how the week goes.
“I have an idea of what I want to do and we’ll see if the players, touch wood, come through unscathed and pick the team towards the end of the week.”
