Strange to relate but I agree also totally with Nick's accessment on the season -so far.
The VvD deal, lack of an experienced CB to properly replace VvD / Fonte.

Reed and Krueger weren't on the pitch making defensive errors , or in the box missing sitters...sorry Shane. Our " strike force " couldn't hit the proverbial barn door on many occasions and yet it was hard to criticise them the previous season when both Long and Redmond got their career best season goals. We lost Charlie Austin at a critical stage , yet when he finally returned he managed only one goal in the last 8 games.
Gabbiadini's goal at Swansea meant we forgave him after what had been, by any measures an really awful season for him.

As for the future ....We must sell off players who are surplus to requirements - and still get in quality replacements without having to break the record fee every time., and remembering we don't have a 60K stadium that gives us big income at the gate, and our salary strucure is just about at the limit of FFP rules.
