Ken forced into playing the name game?

It has always been a cagey subject, but if Leeds wish to benefit from the so-called "package of solidarity" then they will have to reveal who actually owns Leeds United.

Those outside ER may think this is a bizarre question and Ken Bates in the owner, however Leeds have never publicly declared who actually are the owners. The shares for Leeds are held by a company in the West Indies.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Premier League and Football League announced a series of new rules to promote sound financial management and ensure a greater trickle of revenue into the Football League from the cash-rich Prem. For example, the £16m parachute payment to relegated clubs will rocket to £48m.

Leeds also stand to gain an extra £2.2m in the deal, providing of course they comply with the rules and one of them being declaring anyone who owns more tha 10% of the club.

So it looks like the mystery of actually who the club belongs to (on paper that is and spiritually it is the fans') may finally be unravelled.

Meanwhile Sky Sports report that ex-Millwall midfielder Ali Fuseini has been training with Leeds and the whites' will consider making him a contract offer.

Leeds have also confirmed that Tresor Kandol's contract has been cancelled. Kandol had about a year to run on his current deal but now he can go early.

Finally young goalie Alan Martin has moved back to Barrow on loan,
