Yeah have been chatting to a Sheff U mate and he tells me they have a very strong group of youngsters out today. Plus a Welsh international keeper, will be a tough challenge for our lot
I know there are a few of you out there that still love the snooker.
Hell of a clearance from John Higgins to get to the quarters tonight, incredible stuff. Still think the winner comes from the inevitable Trump v Ronnie Semi though
On the original story, I've heard quite a few positive things about Bosun Lawal! Plus he'd be an international teammate of Sincs if we needed a word in. Obviously would be far more interesting if the link was a perm rather than loan though
Honestly, just a calmer season than this one would be great. If that includes some younger players who we can develop, even better. I'll take slow progress for now with MC at the helm
What will be interesting is seeing where he ends up this summer....if indeed anyone wants him. Hardly done enough at this level, he'll need to drop down a level at least
Oxford to come up so we can avenge that dreadful pre-season game. That, rather than the Watford game, was the moment I knew we were going down this season*
Not bored, relieved. Looking forward to watching the playoffs and then forgetting about football for a bit. Then ready for a new season starting with some optimism this time!
In a weird way, I feel like us and Wednesday have been in it together this season stuck in the bottom 3 for ages but taking good risks on up and coming managers rather than appointing the same old faces. So I'm pleased for them that its in their hands now and we can both stay up doing that. Want Birmingham to go down, not just for the plethora of unpopular ex-Rs but just because they circle the drain every bloody season and I'm bored of them.
I thought Field was the standout player for us with Chair, Paal and JCS all excellent. I asked a couple of neutrals who watched the game and Paal was getting a lot of love
Saying this, if MartΓ does choose to include some youngsters in the squad, keep an eye out for Alfie Tuck being involved at some point. Young central midfielder who I believe he really likes, and rightly so
When all this calms down, watch the Watford highlights from the first day and then the highlights from this game side by side. Then come at me if you still don't think MartΓ is a miracle worker
Sam Field quietly having a superb game. Sometimes when others step up and play so well, Field can go unnoticed for the work he does. But he's been excellent
Contrary to others, whatever we do, lets not make the mistake of Sinclair for Dykes again. The way Dykes keeps defenders occupied allows our attacking players so much more freedom to play around that space. We lose all shape when Sincs comes on usually. Its fun when chasing a game, but not at 2-0 up
