I am not comparing us to Premier League clubs like Brentford or Brighton.
I am simply saying that our CEO has stated that we are in possession of much better analytical software now bringing us closer to those clubs on the analytical software front, nothing else.
I hope he won't get many first team opportunities with us unless he improves. More than happy for him to be retained on a similar deal with added appearance and goal bonuses to see if he becomes a much better footballer but if he wants too much money now then move him on and let another club take the risk.
Do we know how much Armstrong really wants it? Any reports of extra training and the like. Sir Les put many extra hours in especially with weights to become the player he was.
Two summers on the trot was our undoing. In my opinion Warburton had done enough to deserve some backing along with our league position at the time.
Beale however had just walked through the door and although you have to grant a new manager a couple of new players we went over the top with him.
Marti has done enough already to deserve some backing but on middle ground. New players purchased at the right price and existing players sold at the right price. There is currently no need to offload players at low prices.
The Profit and Sustainability Regulations work in three-year cycles so after heavily backing Warburton and Beale we were struggling last season and only some creative loan moves enabled us to bring in some new faces in January.
This season we start afresh so there is money to back Marti with.
Marti knew our financial situation when he joined us.
Christian Nourry tells us that we have much better analytical software at our disposal now, the kind of software that Brentford have used with great success.
So, I am optimistic about this season. Warburton had done enough to deserve financial backing, Beale hadn't and Marti has already proved that he deserves backing.
That said we still have to be viewed as a selling club but at the right price. Dieng and Dickie were flash sales as we really need the cash. This season we are not so desperate and have already released many players..
Half hour walk from Hounslow West tube. Walk up the Bath Road and then turn right on to The Parkway which is a few minutes past the junction with the Great West Road.
It always gets me as well listening to these men talking about their experiences.
It is rare for the older veterans to give graphic details of their experiences on the battlefields they keep it to themselves which to me is another form of bravery shown by these men.
The BBC documentary about the Falkland War, Our Falklands War: A Frontline Story, really is a no holds barred programme revealing the true horrors of war and the everlasting impact of those involved. I recommend it but be prepared.
My first thoughts as well. Talksport currently agreeing with us.
Having said that I am surprised that Maddison has been dropped. Grealish or Maddison is a really tough one but I would plump for Maddison. I am guessing that we don't have too many options on the left hand side which is why Grealish stays in.
32nd May some contracts end and others on the 31st June.
Personally I would be happy for Willock to stay as there is still a very talented player in there and our fitness team have been working wonders with our injury prone players.
But if he decides to move on then so be it, we only want players who wish to be at the Marti Party.
I did see The West London Sport headline - Out of Contract QPR Man Confirms Talks With Club - and when I saw it was Begovic I was both surprised and disappointed.
Lyndon is our player so we should all be supporting him in both his club and international career. I would have been watching the Scotland games. I really feel for him missing the Euros, it might be his only opportunity to play in a big tournament.
However, the Euros was an opportunity for Lyndon to be in the shop window as the club that we all support should be moving on a Number 9 that rarely scores goals. I doubt very much that Lyndon is in Marti's future plans.
