What was the date of the post? Before noon yesterday? Hope it's not true. Tend to be finishing a beer during match downtime these days so haven't seen much of Jude's moves this season
Yep, I'm amazed by what Marti has done. Jan signings massive and really positive players. Also less frequent injuries and suspensions to key players has helped a lot.
Getting the most out of players and the encouraging their development and drive is the biggest for me though. Hopefully players looking to move clubs will now see us as a better ranking destination.
Wow, I've just seen my lyrical antithesis... that's awesome! You're definitely not alone though Colin.
There used to be a great alt. country show called "Acid Country" on PBS (Melb) that opened with a comedy/country song of the same name. Summed up the attitude and always made me smile. The best line was "Excuse me while I kiss the sky/I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die."
ISTR seeing footage of Blondie doing an in store appearance at one of these in Notting Hill? Lots of kids. I think they left Clem Burke behind when the tour bus drove off :)
Truly vinyl is very expensive. My eyes water now when I look at the price of some new found "must have" and I think back to the days of my youth picking up classics for just a few $AU at record fairs in the late 80s early 90s.
I'm an acquirer not a collector. I've always defined a collector as someone that is obsessive about owning everything from an artist or group. e.g. multiple releases, Jap. or US imports, even if they are the same. I'm not really fussed about definitive collections.
Ah, thanks for posting this, we were wondering what the tribute was at 14th minute. Those around me looked up at the screen for some context but there was no indication there. Perhaps they gave directions before the players came on the pitch?
Definitely with you on Cook. Not much of a gap for me between the other two being mentioned here though.
The change in my confidence in our defence due to Cook and JCS clicking, from abject panic to just nervous, has made a big difference to my enjoyment of games.
I'm not football's most gifted analyst, but it seemed to me that Sinclair stopping in the middle of the pitch, not playing to the whistle, leaving his man free to start a fresh attack, with ~1 min to go before the half, was inviting exactly this outcome.
