The Hope on Wandsworth Common we were in a couple of weeks back. Queue. Fck me, okay. Lass in front of me finally gets her turn, asks to see wine list. Felt like an activity that would have passed the time in the queue tbh but okay. 2 glasses of that please, off he goes to pour. Comes back. Two cocktails. You're fcking kidding right? Another modern pub phenom that can get in the sea. It’s not an fcking milkshake emporium is it? Off he goes to make those. Five minutes later. Two Guinness. Two Guinness I sht you not. While he’s away making those there’s communication from the table, now she’s turning and gesticulating. What? You what? What you saying? Two sticky toffee puddings.
Walked out, not been back. |

It was a red as well. Even I think that's a red. Pretty standard Maguire move, stick one through their star man early doors challenge the referee to be brave enough to red card it. His Wigan team did it constantly. Usually in a big game, unless it's Steve Ganson, they'll let you go with it. |

Rose and Crown on Tooting Common is like that. Should be brilliant with the grass stretching out in front of it like that, pints outside etc. Inside, it's like one of those pubs they used stick up on northern retail parks with a Wacky Warehouse attached. |

Doesn't it just come back to the point about how the outside of Wembley is really poorly designed for these sort of games these days?
Perhaps similar with the Stade de France, although I haven't been and am not familiar.
The place they have the final in Turkey is in the middle of butt fck nowhere, huge exclusion zones all around it, multiple physical barriers and ticket checks. Wembley have sold off all their surrounding land to hotels, flats and box park, right up to the gate. So now you've got a set of concrete stairs, temporary railings and a third party stewarding company employing people on mimimum wage standing in the way. |

Great example of a company that exists for one purpose that it's absolutely fcking terrible at. A ticketing sales and distribution agency that is terrible at selling and distributing tickets.
