Sell our two best players for £60m and effectively replaced them with two young loanees. Amazing window for the Shareholders. Why didn't we reinvest the £75m of player sales into any depth in defense or up front? Where do you think we've actually strengthened - Mesa for Leon/Cork, Tammy for Llorente and Sanches for Siggy?
Feels same as last summer when we sold two of our best players in Ayew and Ash, replaced with unproven likes of Borja and celebrated we'd be too half! Until the players showed other clubs had not us, had moved on to 'another level'. PC just about saved us and in desperation actually sport £15m in Jan window. Let see how new boys perform and prey we don't get any injuries, and see how much we need to spend - probabaly more loans - in Jan. |  | | |
