same here . the way of working has changed immeasurably and mostly for the better .One of my previous jobs involved free climbing on steel work sometimes covered with wet algae , ice and grease silicon etc ( no permanent attachment then) , but it did focus your attention of the task in hand , Still think I could put a shift in but probably not , 1 days work then 4 days recovering . |
deffo changed for the better, although we always moan about h@s , I lost 2 mates in my first year out of my time, as a tradesman, and one of them could easily have been myself, and nearly witnessed a scaffolder who was doing what you described , fall nearly 25o ft, luckily he managed to grab onto something at the last minute. |  |
