This from the author of a thread (link attached again below) moaning about why his club can't be more consistent: Consistency by stainrods_elbow 29 Sep 12:29QPR teams of the past (1982-83; 1993-95; 2010-11) have had it and been successful. Why don't we, and why is it so apparently hard to achieve? Presumably the conclusion we should draw from your logic is that the players and staff aren't actually human, and therefore should be held far more accountable for their actions than poor misunderstood you should be? |

Maybe we can get VAR to make a call on it. |

Yeah...Not exactly the best look to do this to someone who has given so many years of unstinting service, especially given that he's had some clearly definable success. I sincerely hope they're giving him a nice fat payoff at the very least. |

Indeed, but to put it back into a Gallic context, will it turn out to simply be a case of "plus ca change..."?🤔 |

JS reacted quickly and decisively after Coventry. Isaac Hayden said they'll be in Heston today doing the analysis, which, if true and he didn't actually mean Monday, at least shows pro-activity. Of course the alternative view point is that we seem to be going the long way round the circle to find the supposedly perfect solution each time, instead of sticking to one approach that worked well against the likes of Charlton and Wrexham. I wouldn't describe myself as particularly angry, as it happens - more mildly amused that you assume you know better than the people at the club itself whose job it is to think through all of these options and come up with the most appropriate plan. [Post edited 30 Oct 12:56]

But you weren't "offering an opinion or a suggestion". You made an arrogantly presumptuous statement in a fashion that suggests that you believe it to be complete obvious common sense when in fact, by your own admission, its actually based on complete ignorance and assumed utter bollox. There are posters on here who have at least coached extensively at youth amateur level and who are in a reasonable position to talk intelligently about this. You are clearly not one of them. |

..And you've been coaching at elite professional level for how long exactly..? |

He was by no means the first owner to get drunk on the heady wine of supposed Premier League glory and there have been plenty more since. As debated on here countless times over the last decade, that's they way the football pyramid works and- as we're seeing currently roll out with the FA's attempts to delay facing the Manchester City situation for as long as possible in the hope that it will somehow magically disappear -will continue to do so until eternity. |

I loved the way he never took himself too seriously in interviews and was always quite self-deprecating - particularly in regard to how unglamorous life on the road was and how little money they made! |

I don't think Numpty "told" anyone to do anything. I think what he did - very eloquently, I have to say - is explain in actually quite a balanced and respectful way the impact that another party's behaviour has had on him, as well as others, and he then came up with a simple and elegant suggestion as to how a repeat of this saga could be avoided, which, I would suggest, is hard to argue with. Well done, Numpty. Its all very well to say simply use the "ignore" facility. There is of course a certain merit to that, in that it denies the offending party the oxygen of publicity. Why, however, should it fall on Numpty or anyone else for that matter to have to do that? There's a line between saying what you believe you have the right to say and saying it in a way that acknowledges that the other person has as much value to exist on this planet as you do. Our beloved Mr. Elbow frequently crosses that line in full knowledge of what he's doing and the impact it has on this forum, but is the first one to scream like a two year old who needs his nappy changing when he gets a taste of his own medicine. I'm quite content to keep re-educating him, but it doesn't do any favours for the general atmosphere of this forum, so I think Numpty's suggestion - which, by the way Clive himself has made in recent months - is a perfectly valid one. |

I simply fight fire with fire, my fine friend. Major difference between you and me is that I concentrate my fire on selected deserving targets, mainly those like your good self who go out of their way to insult and demean others and then whinge like a two year old having a temper tantrum when anyone dares to come after them. You, however, just want to annihilate everyone who you've decided is "inferior" to yourself and you spend your life aspiring in vain to be counted in the same breath as certain "geniuses" such as Alex Ferguson or Marco Pierre White (not people that I would personally want to be counted alongside given their toxic behaviour patterns, but we've had that particular debate before elsewhere) I'm comfortable with who I am - I'm not necessarily sure you can say the same about yourself, can you, hence your desperate need to continually justify yourself and abdicate any sense of responsibility for the impact of your behaviour on this forum. If your definition of a "bore" is someone who is respected and loved by colleagues, clients, friends and family and knows how to give that back to others on a consistent basis (to return to one of your themes from a few days ago) then I am proud to be guilty as charged. If you genuinely want to "persuade" or "Influence" people, perhaps showing some understanding of why people hold the views they do might get you closer to your goal more quickly rather than deliberately provoking or confronting them - unless you actually want to continually get the kind of responses you've been whinging about, of course. I think you'll find a strong core of posters who feel much the same about you, Sunshine, but it never seems to occur to you to do some quiet self-reflection and identify what it is about you that has got us to this point. You were asking a few days ago if people were doing things with the deliberate intention of making you "crazy". My response to that is the time-honoured observation that "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results". Maybe if you took the lead and were a tad more respectful towards others, you would get an unexpectedly pleasant surprise at how willing people would be to engage with you on a similar level. To quote back at you what you seem to LOVE having the opportunity to quite to others on an OBSESSIVE basis: "You've missed the point". Virtually everything you post IS abusive, and literally everyone who takes issue with anything you say gets treated with complete contempt. Please don't come back at me with anything that resembles "I stick to the points" because you know full well that you are a past master at making deeply snide personal remarks. Whilst I personally have to admit that I enjoy having the excuse to deliver a metaphorical punch to your clueless face on a regular basis, there are many others who don't and who would prefer that you disappeared off permanently into whatever cloud of narcissistic ether you originally emanated from. An acceptable alternative, however, might be that you actually apologise to everyone you've offended over the years on here and - with this enormous intellect that you allegedly possess - take the time to reflect on why posters like me feel the need to address you like this in a completely different tone of voice to everyone else they communicate with on here. |

Judging by the amount of time and energy he wastes on here on a daily basis determinedly trying to prove why he's clearly right about everything and everyone else has the intellectual capacity of a dead amoeba in comparison, FB, I think it actually bothers him intensely.. |

If I politely suggested that one area he might like to "improve" on his journey to "perfection" is how he handles interpersonal relations, BR, how do you think he's likely to respond? |
