What a magnificent goal it was. Incredible pressure on our own goal line, having the ambition and confidence to build from the back, a few scything passes finds Celina picking it up on the half way line. Is he going to pass? Is he going to pass? Bang, straight into the onion bag.
Cruising at 1-0, dominating the match with some great passing football. They score two very well taken goals and we're playing catch up. Attacking subs by Mr Potter and we get back in it. At 2-2 I thought we were in the ascendancy looking for the win. Then the sucker punch. As has already been mentioned this is going to happen with such a young and inexperienced side. Can't fault the team's effort again - gutted for all concerned this evening.
A delightful Autumnal afternoon where the Swans beat QPR comfortably without really needing to get into top gear.
Once again a never say die attitude from the players which is refreshing to see. Mulder continues to impress in goal and Rodon and MVDH are proving to be an utterly solid and dependable CB pairing. Added to that the experience and old head of Naughton and the youthful energy of Byers, Roberts, McBurnie, Baker-Richardson. Fer returning and an impressive cameo from Fulton.
We are one or two players away from really challenging in the league.
Great. So we get promoted, but what next? What would the board do? How can they ensure we stay competitive in the Premier League, stay up and not break the bank? Are we destined to become a "yo-yo" club for evermore?
Personally I'm quite happy to reinvent ourselves in this league for a couple/few seasons.
