Shocking. "If everyone is fit and available" and we STILL don't have a pair of fullbacks we actually own to play in those posiitons plus our holding midfielder is well past it with a centre forward (Kone) who goes match after match without a shout on target let alone a goal. Surely looking at most peoples choices above tells you the squad really isn't much kop this season. Again. |

Sorry - this might be a thick question as I don't know how they work this but.... That figure for those players you note - is that "one off" spends? I ask as I thought all clubs amortised transfer fees over the length of a players Contract now so surely that's spend / individual years? (Another reason players are signed on REDACTED lengths of Contract. If that is the case then it's an even grimmer picture no? To be honest it's really a case of what will be will be with any set of Accounts from the club. The place is in such a mess that I am amazed it hasn't imploded(again) and that'll surely happen again in the near future. This "shop window" policy and approach to the Championship is doomed to end in failure. Novice Park Rangers making fundamental errors - sure as night follows day |

Three hundred and eighty seven million in debt. Drink that in. Since Bungle and the boys rode into town in their clown car with square wheels we have steadily marched towards half a BILLION pounds of losses and continue to do so. That includes two “life changing” periods in the Premiership Wow. Just wow. |

As he left the ground in an air boot I'd imagine he may be well rested for next season. Meanwhile in Norfolk....... |

Bang on. There's no real plan for Championship success - it's all about being a shop window and, frankly, that is a heap of bollox and will get you out of this Division but not via the route you'd want. I make the point again about Steve Cook, but also Sam Field. Estbalished and experienced pro's at this level but the club has had active agenda's to bin them out in favour of fast tracking shiney new things. Madness! You need that 50/50 blend both on matchday and also throughout the week. Personally, I am amazed that Novice Park Rangers has done as well as it has this season and it's nothing short of miraculous that we stayed up in previous seasons. This one I'd put it down to the absolute dirge and mentalness of the whole set...... we've got a Chef Weds, huge under performance of the parachute clubs, points deductions for others, some clubs with owners more barmy than ours and it's a real Wacky Racers of a Division. That alone is frustrating as with a more balanced and fit squad with a Haed Coach who knew the ropes we should be in top six with our spend(s) over last couple of windows. Unfortuantely it's another box of frogs approach with inexperienced people doing things to their own agenda(s) QPR innit........... |

Serious question here as I didn't watch the whole game but.... that fit and able Number 9 - how many shots did he have on / off target on Saturday? I did see one which sort of came at him quick in six yard box early on and it went straight at keeper who knew nothing about it. I'd also chill out on the signings. The Surfing Championships are due on Bondi Beach end of this week and there's bound to be some athletic Aussies who catch Nourry's eye (as long as the right Agent has 'em of course). New favourite players will be incoming |

You mean " what don't THEY get" I assume?? It's all in my original post. King Warnock Alert / Pre-Cursor --- I am NOT advocating yet another return for Warnock. There simply has to be someone out there along the lines of a Gerry Francis / Neil Warnock who get the place, the level and who the players buy into 100%. If not then a mad fella like Ollie who can inspire. These types would mean the departure of Nourry and his role but maybe a "DoF Lite" for continuity -- if so then an experienced head is the need, not a young idealist. Also - the owners will NEVER "balance the books". They've put this place over a quarter of a billion pounds in debt. We're never coming back from that and they're never seeing that back. They are still here because nobody is taking that on and I'd imagine they're happy to be associated with the club and a very, very, very slim chance it could return to the top. This is what I don't get.... if they want promotion then the culture of accepting medicority needs to go and that starts from the top. I refuse to accept "enjoy(ing) the odd wins" as you put it is good enough for this club, that may be the reality of it but it's a losers stance..... and I'm not aiming that personally at you or mean it as a dig. Any organisations standards are set by the lowest they are willing to accept. |

Bang on. I don’t think JS or Nourry are right for the club and their approach is at odds with the needs of this Division. If we had the ability of Boro to buy the best and have a big squad then maybe but we have to accept who and where we are and what we need to do to be “successful” at this level. I know Cookie had an iffy game yesterday but how bad would the last few weeks have been without his experience, gnarl, grit and determination? You need to split your team half n half with these types. It is do’able as many teams above us are proving this season just as they have done many many seasons prior. If this club goes into one of its death spirals that it lives then JS would be the last fella I’d look to for guidance out of it. That is a damning indictment and I’d look at the man who appointed him on that. Let’s not go down the fitness and sports science side of things as that’s a whole other thread |

You mention two people pulling the strings who are totally unsuited to the Championship This is not the place for shop window players, fancy football or weaklings. Brawn with ability is the order of the day. I give you Madsen - totally shit last season, this he’s got a lot of grit and being physical so he looks suited to this level. No team at this level could carry Bennie, Vale and Saito in the same line up; they are weak as piss. |
