Games included are where they've played at least 20 plus mins.
1. Quarshie. 11 games . 16pts. 1.45 pts per game.
2. Stephens. 17 games. 23 pts. 1.35 pts per game.
3. THB. 23 games. 28pts. 1.21 pts per game.
4. Wood. 23 games. 28pts. 1.21 pts per game.
5. Edwards. 8 games. 9pts. 1.12 pts per game. |

Regarding experience, I guess they see Stephens ticking that particular box.

Yep, they probably are our best two currently and sadly as you point out it's not a great standard!
Stephens is poor in ariel duels and ball watches too much.
THB is not great in the air defensively as well and loses concentration and blames others for his failings.
They are also capable of good performances s being leaders at the back.
Plenty on here that just hate on Stephens and have cemented minds...they'll never acknowledge it when he has a decent game....strange . |

Solid gritty win...just what we needed.
1. Better with 4 at the back.
2. Wellington better defensively than no Mannings land
3. Ross Stewart a focal point, outlet. Made they're CBs panic.
4. The keeper saved us near the end from a Bamford shot that Bazunu wouldn't. He's looking better.
5. Stephens came in and looked good , played like a leader.
6. Downes and Jander put in a shift.
Result. A win. |

We're now 7 points adrift of midtable QPR who are 12th.
5 points clear of the bottom 3.
It's looking more likely we're in a relegation battle now unless results pick up asap. |

We're heading for a relegation battle by the look of it.
People keep saying to me "no way , there's three worse teams than Saints"
On paper , yes.
In reality we are not a team.
We're a collection of disinterested , lightweight chancers that were brought in to make the Clowns a tidy profit.
Other sides have a strong spine , physically strong and fit and are organised....we are none of these things.
If things don't change we'll be in L1 within the next 3 years. |

This whole season, apart from the glory patch when Eckhart took over we've looked like a bottom 6 team.
It reminds me of Sunderland from 7 or 8 years back.
Like us they were relegated from the Prem and were utterly hopeless...remember the 8 nil thrashing we gave them .
They never recovered from the trauma and bumped along on the bottom areas of the Championship for a few seasons before eventually bottoming out in L1 .
...tailspinning out of control...hapless owners, managers and players and a disbelieving fan base , all unable to reverse the terrible rot that had built up .
I won't be shocked if we follow a similar path. |

Apparently he's on 25k a week , yet not even fit enough to play a part against L1 Doncaster.
I thought we signed him to play at least a chunk of the games and to be a leader type player.
Looks like yet another Clown Republic PR disaster before Oriel swans off back to Sunny Spain. |
