 | Forum Reply | I quite like the name - "LOFTUS" at 23:45 18 Feb 2026
Personally, I find it peculiarly annoying to have arrivistes like JS and Nourry coming in and effectively renaming our cave in away that just sounds stupid, and then the likes of Edwards following suit. Is nothing sacred? (Answer - not in football, obviously.) |

Ah yes, another who went onto progressively worser things since leaving us. Let's hope Caroll's career (now plying his trade with the Fakes at 33, having played barely 80 games in the last five years) isn't a blueprint for Morgan! |

As the data shows, it isn't merely, or even mostly, a matter of turnover or budgets - it's a question of culture and mindset. Ours isn't so much aspirational as moribund! |

That's not so much comparing apples and pears as chalk and cheese - and then some. Last time I looked, Ruben's family had a net worth of £2.1 billion. Right now I've got 1,500 euros in the bank and am worried about getting through the month! Think about that! |
 | Forum Reply | Do we not all want the same thing? at 20:39 17 Feb 2026
We don't all want and/or value the same things, rather obviously! The trouble (and joy) is we see the world differently, and so 'honesty' and 'authenticity' mean different (and sometimes conflicting) things to, and have different effects on, different people. I'm in conflict with myself, let alone others, on a daily basis. That's what QPR and the world - both inner and outer - does to anyone of any complexity, right? Some people would rather be sheep than individuals, however - twas ever thus! People who are connected to power structures of whatever kind also tend to be somewhat compromised and/or agenda-driven. As Roland Barthes put it, 'the one who is pure of power is insane'. Certainly, the most vulnerable, sensitive, and thin-skinned suffer most, and more people than one would like to admit love (to hate) a scapegoat. [Post edited 17 Feb 20:40]

Mystifies me how, with the new policy of removing threads that contain mild friction, your gratuitous, egregious abuse is apparently allowed to stand. |

Feel as free as a bird to threaten me with a lynching, as you just have, and I won't raise a peep in protest! I'm sure you'll be fine. [Post edited 16 Feb 22:01]

I see another perfectly constructive thread ('JS on WLS') - from, as it happens, myself - appears to have mysteriously vanished. Seems par for the course with our season. |

Did anyone tweak a finger writing their name? If so, I presume his projected return date will be sometime around March 2028. |

No, it's time for the board to take one hard look at what's happening (and not happening) on the PITCH, and tell the manager that IT'S not good enough. |
 | Forum Reply | Match report on BBC at 21:29 15 Feb 2026
What worries me is that one of the key reasons, I think, JS exudes such shoulder-shrugging complacency is because Nourry has his back. That, and the fact that our owners are sleepier than Rip Van Winkle. After his passionless WLS presser post-Blackburn, I'd be getting Vanessa Paradis to call Joe for his taxi. Interesting that those who love to pile on me whenever I raise a whisper of criticism about JS's post-match funeral marches are nowhere to be seen. Obviously, it's nothing to do with those people responding differently to what's said depending on who's saying it - again! [Post edited 15 Feb 21:26]

I don't know if we have more injuries than other clubs, but I'd wager a decent sum no other club whines and lies about it more than us. That's when our manager isn't excusing our performances with reference to medium-distance coach journeys, the weather, 3-day weeks, budgets, or Serge Gainsbourg's way with women. |

If your analysis is correct, what is the point of QPR? We end up (possibly) more or less where we've been forever - somewhere between mediocre and below average - and then try to sell our best players (who aren't that good anyway)! On that basis, I don't know Sisyphus and his f*cking rock isn't our club mascot. |

 | Forum Reply | Why do we keep conceding immediately after half time?? at 18:09 14 Feb 2026
He's sometimes quite good in telling us we have to learn from this or that (i.e. stating the bleedin' obvious), but him and his team actually learning seems like another kettle of poissons. Seriously, where's the guy's performance metric? |
 | Forum Reply | Blackburn Reflection at 18:07 14 Feb 2026
Agree with most of that, but I certainly didn't think Blackburn were poor. For most of the game, they schooled us, if anything, and were comfortable winners - a watching Martian would have had us as battling relegation. Which, I'm afraid, we still might be. If JS says anything else, he's part of the problem (which, for me, he probably is). |
