Kenny Jackett declares the Swans will still go up despite seeing his new side win 2-1 at the Liberty

Jackett, who was Swansea manager until just over twelve months ago, made a winning return to Swansea by earning his side a hugely important win in their battle against relegation.  However, he was convinced that he would not be making a league return next season by saying that the Swans are still one of the best two sides in the division and they will be promoted come the end of term.

Talking immediately after the game, Jackett said "Swansea have had a tremendous season, I think they can afford to lose one game in the run-in, and I'm just glad it came against Millwall.

"But along with Doncaster, Swansea are the best side I've seen since I've been in this job and I would love to see them go up.

"I think they deserve it. They play terrific football. They switch the play, they have good touch and they have good athletes. I like the way they play and I would love to do something similar at Millwall, although at the moment we are a long way off.

"Swansea are definitely good enough for promotion and I'm sure they can go on and be a credit to the Championship.

"And from my point of view, you want to get the best teams out of the division. Number one we have to stay up this year, but number two we want the best sides out of the way next season."

Swansea return to action on Tuesday night against Tranmere before three away trips in a six day spell against Northampton, Bristol Rovers (FA Cup permitting) and Southend - you can find ticket details for all these fixtures here
