Trust Takes Award At Conference
Home > Story Index >Trust Wins 2nd Place | The outright winner was AFC Wimbledon, who have been forced to launch their own fans-owned club after the "old" Wimbledon, now known as Franchise FC, was given permission to move to Milton Keynes. | Accepting the award on behalf of the Supporter's Trust, was trust board member Richard Lillicrap who commented "I'm delighted to accept this on behalf of all those who have worked tirelessly and often without thanks to get us where we are today." | The award was presented to Richard by Billy Bragg together with a cheque for £250 at the Supporters Direct Conference in London. There are now a total of 62 trusts in being throughout the country and this is an award that all who have worked hard with the trust should be proud of. | You can visit the trust web-site by clicking here |
