Antony was a player who made a real impact during the 2004-05 season. The young midfielder wasn't even sure whether he had a future at Victoria Park towards the end of the 2003-04 campaign, but a run in the side convinced the management that he was worth a new deal and he hasn't let them down since.
Last term, the all-action midfield man blasted an impressive 15 goals, including the goal which took 'Pool into the Play-Offs. His non-stop running and limitless energy means he is just as likely to appear in his own box with a crucial tackle as he is in the opponent's area to score a goal.
Consistent displays throughout last season meant the youngster was on the shortlist for the Player of the Year awards and he also had a couple of contenders for Goal of the Season.
This season, Antony has played 31 games but has only managed to score 5 goals, one of which was against the Swans in the 2-2 draw earlier this season.
