![]() Wednesday, 6th Aug 2008 20:46 At this time of year you see endless predictions for final league tables which is why it comes as some surprise to see this one Whilst many media outlets have tipped the Swans for a finish pretty much in the lower half of the table a comprehensive review of the teams in the Championship on the Cardiff blog (cardiff.theoffside.com) says that the Swans could finish in the top 6 - a prediction made perhaps more surprising by the fact the prediction is above the writer's own team. The prediction starts "Watching this lot do well will have me cringing in the way I do during the totally-not-bias-to-the-recent Premier-League-Teams Championship Goals programme on ITV1, and pain me more than stubbing all of my toes in accordance." and goes on to talk more about the players that the Swans have on their disposal. Their main man prediction for the Swans is Jason Scotland (incidentally he is also their tip to take the Golden Boot award) and goes onto say "Oft criticised by some Jacks for his lack of all-round contribution, there’s no denying the importance of a regular goal getter." Whilst their surprise package to watch is Guillem Bauza of whom they say "Burgeoning with potential and crucial goals. The young Billericay Town FA-Cup party-pooper, who doubles up as Super Mario foe and Peach-snatcher King Koopa in his spare time, can go as far as he wants." The blog predicts automatic promotion for Sheffield United and Wolves with Crystal Palace coming through the play offs at the expense of us, Reading and Birmingham.
