We're No Longer A One Man Team Says Pratley

Saturday's man of the match Darren Pratley says the Swans are no longer the one man team they were with Lee Trundle at the club

Pratley was speaking to the Evening Post following his excellent display at Home Park that saw him provide the killer pass for Jason Scotland to fire the only goal of the game.

And that performance was just the latest in a string of impressive displays from the midfielder who is now in his third season at the club.    Pratley has formed one part of a three pronged midfield with Leon Britton and Ferrie Bodde that is arguably one of the best midfields outside of the Premiership.

Pratley was looking back a couple of years when he believed the Swans were becoming a one man team that struggled to function without their main attraction of the time in Lee Trundle who left for Bristol City just over twelve months ago.

He told the paper ''Look at our squad against Plymouth — Owain Tudur Jones hasn't travelled with the squad and he is a Welsh internationalClick here!

''You also have the likes of Kristian O'Leary, Joe Allen, Shaun MacDonald and Jordi Gomez who can come into the centre of midfield. With the three we have already it bodes well for the season.

''Two years ago we were a one-man team. I think if Trundle wasn't playing then the fans would be thinking 'oh my God, Trunds isn't playing, we're going to struggle'.

''This year you can take anyone out of this team and you can replace him. Nobody is irreplaceable.

''This is a hard place to come because Plymouth are very direct in the way the play,'' he added.

''They play a lot of long balls and hope to get the knockdowns. That was the challenge we had to deal with.

''We get the ball down and play. That's what works for us with the players we have. We have a squad full of players who want to play attractive football.

''It helps my game as I really enjoy it. Myself, Leon and Ferrie have had a year together now and there is a good understanding between us.

''Training helps as it is the same as a game situation. What we do in training you see on the pitch.

''We watched West Brom win the Championship last season playing superb football — that's what we want to do.

''We believe we can play football with the best.''
