Its believed that Scottish Premier League side Hearts may be visiting SMS

Sources close to the Club have revealed that SPL side Hearts, or Heart Of Midlothian to give them their full title will be coming to SMS on Saturday July 25th, however before they confirm the date Saints may do well to remember that Hampshire meet Sussex at Lords in the final of the Friends Provident Trophy on that day and that many Saints fans who would normally have gone to the friendly at SMS, willgo to Lords or watch it on TV.

This being the case a good idea would be to switch the hearts game to either the Friday Night or even the Sunday.

Hearts of course visited the Dell exactly a week after the FA Cup Final triumph in 1976, Pat Earles scoring twice in a 3-2 defeat, for those that assumed that footballers have always lead pampered lives would do well to look a the record books, after that win Saints played four friendlies in the following two weeks, the first at home to QPR in Mick Channon's testimonial, the second against Hearts exactly a week after Wembley and then followed by a trip to Swansea on the Tuesday and the final game on Friday 14th at Yeovil.
