Huw Jenkins insists that the Swans are learning the lessons of last year's end of season fall away

The Swansea City Chairman watched on last season as the Swans missed out on what seemed to be a sure fire play off place having won just 2 of their last 11 games of the season.

This season could be stronger for the Swans with the side currently 2nd in the Championship table after last weekend's win over Crystal Place and Jenkins insists that they have learned the lessons for last season and methods employed by Brendan Rodgers puts them in a stronger position at the moment.

"Last year didn't finish the way we all hoped it would," the Swansea chairman conceded.

"We have talked things through at the club, with staff and players, and we are all trying to take on board the lessons from what happened.

"It's a long season in the Championship and things can catch up with people.

"Managers are there to try to make sure that doesn't happen, and I think the way Brendan has rotated the squad will help us.

"Rotation is needed to get the best out of your players and Brendan has done it very well.

"He talks things through with the players. They all know what he is trying to do and so far it has worked well for us.

"We have brought extra people in and that has helped us remain fit and competitive. It has helped the club move on.

"I think that has shown over the Christmas period, which is always a difficult time because of the number of games you face.

"Our team are still looking full of energy and that shows how we are handling the situation.

"We have another busy month coming up in February, but we are looking forward to the challenge."
