The Swansea Jack Army are on the march to Birmingham in numbers
Friday, 22nd Oct 2021 08:00 by David Cornish

Swansea City have quickly sold out their initial allocation of 1,500 tickets for the trip on Saturday to St Andrews. The Blues have sent a further batch of tickets to the swans to ensure that as many fans as possible will not be disappointed and miss out on the game. We are not aware of any sales on the day of the game.

Swansea City have long had a large following in the midlands and even back in the early nineties when the club were less than successful swans fans travelled in very healthy numbers from these areas. It’s great news for Russell Martin who has publicly stated that his work at the club with the players is beginning to bear fruit. On Wednesday he did state there was some reluctance from certain players when he first came in to the club. They wanted to stick with their old ways and it took the likes of Jamie Paterson a few weeks to acclimatise to the new system of thinking and training, Removing ego from footballers is possibly one of the hardest things that can be achieved by a manager, and then especially to get them to perform as well is almost unheard of. Explaining that though to some supporters seems an even harder task. Luckily we are here to help ...

Martin has succeeded in that initial mission with a long road to travel at the swans. Two excellent home results beating Cardiff 3-0, then West Brom 2-1 have put the swans within striking distance of the play offs. There will be rocky paths to travel now sides know the club are finding their feet after eleven games of consolidation. However, the bright signs of recovery has meant that we will see 2,000 Swansea City fans in the away end at Birmingham on Saturday hopefully roaring on the swans to another three points.

The revolution is okay.
