In amongst the bad news of Gareth Bale not making the 23 man squad tonight for Wales final game against Belgium, Ex Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez has made it known two of his star Belgian players won’t feature tonight.

Real Madrid held talks with the Belgian FA last night and requested both players are returned to their clubs to avoid any injury in the run up to their games away at Granada on Sunday and then the Champions League time against Sheriff in Moldova next week. The agreement was made when it became clear Belgium do not have to win tonight as they have already qualified for the World Cup next year.

If Wales secure a point tonight they enter the March play offs with a home tie. If they lose they could come up against Portugal, Scotland, Italy or Russia, all of whom have booked a home semi-final already.
