What was actually reported regards Joel Piroe ?
Monday, 20th Dec 2021 14:27 by Keith Haynes

It’s an odd subject, well people that is, there’s no more free radical than people let’s say. Especially those who read a very decent and well articulated article we reported last week. And then don’t get it.

We will leave the original article below for people to peruse. It’s very well informed and was published for a reason. Obviously most of us can see it doesn’t say Piroe is going to Leicester, it doesn’t say an offer has been made, and it doesn’t say there will be. However, as we have always stated when a source of information comes to us and we can check the validity of the context of that information, then one of us here at Swansea Independent will review and possibly report the facts we know.

That’s exactly what this article references. Yes of course there always a few dissenters from elsewhere just waiting to ridicule or undermine this website, all websites who place their transparency on the line each day have the same issues. It’s a bit odd though when ‘journalists’ decide its a good idea to state its a ten million transfer and then question the player. In fact it displays a complete lack of understanding on how to interpret information and then process it. It is of course very rare we respond to anyone or anything directly.

Like this report from The football league paper and one Chris Dunlavy.
Piroe was actually asked about a transfer to Leicester by this individual. God knows where the ‘transfer’ news came from. Nobody mentioned one. News to us. He responded “No, I haven’t heard anything about that. Piroe said when quizzed about Leicester’s interest. The 22-year-old, who found the net just once in the Eredivisie for PSV, admits that he would love to play top-flight football again. “Of course, you always want to reach the top. As a professional player, that should be everyone’s ambition,” Piroe adds. “But I just want to enjoy the moment I am in right now. Swansea is perfect for me because I am doing what I always wanted. “I’ve settled really well in Swansea. The people here who work for the club, everybody around it. They have welcomed me really well and the same goes for the players. “It has made it feel like home, even in such a short time. Even the weather is not too bad at the minute so I cannot complain.”

Come on Chris, think before you speak, research remember is always key. Or maybe it’s just his second job on Friday mornings ?

It’s weird, when we reported the news of Leicester City’s scouting processes via, let’s see now, where do your think it came from ? Leicester Live and the football league paper as an example were all over it. But the article we published became a heap of trash when they rehashed it. Filing fictitious ten million pounds transfer fees etc. And then asking Joel Piroe about it. Very amateurish reporting by a very amateur reporter. Absolute nonsense in fact, there are other words. Nobody from Swansea Independent said that. It’s one thing twisting information to suit from someone else’s hard work, it’s another to not have the slightest degree of intelligence to understand it, process it and report it correctly.

Original article.
Don’t you just despair sometimes ?
