Cymru learn their Euros fate plus the very latest fixture dates

Cymru have been drawn in Group D for qualification for the 2024 Euro Finals to be held in Germany. The top two can expect qualification in their group. EURO 2024 will be Germany's first major tournament as hosts since the 2006 FIFA World Cup and fixtures at this summer's showpiece event will take place in ten host cities including the capital, Berlin.

In this report we give you all the latest information on fixture dates.

The away trip to Armenia will be of interest to the red wall as they make plans to travel to follow Wales. Armenia last played Cymru in 2001 in a World Cup Qualifier which ended 2-2. The return fixture ended 0-0. Top seeds are Croatia.

EURO facts
1. EURO 2024 will be the 17th edition of the competition that was first held in 1960 in France.
2.Germany and Spain are the most successful nations having won the trophy three times each.
3. The trophy is named in honour of UEFA's first President, Henri Delauney, who played a key role in the formation of UEFA and the competition. He died three years before the first tournament.
4.The first five EURO finals involved just four teams. It was expanded to eight in 1980, 16 in 1996 and 24 in 2016.
5.Hosts Germany have competed at every EURO finals since 1972. This will be their 14th consecutive tournament.

What is the qualifying format ?
Teams have been placed into ten groups of five (including those containing the four UEFA Nations League Finals participants) or six. Sides play home and away in a round-robin format, with the group winners and runners-up advancing directly to the final tournament. The remaining three teams will be decided through the play-offs, featuring 12 teams selected based on their performance in the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League.

Group B: Netherlands, France, Republic of Ireland, Greece, Gibraltar

Group C: Italy, England, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Malta

Group F: Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Estonia

Group G: Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Lithuania

Group H: Denmark, Finland, Slovenia, Kazakhstan , Northern Ireland, San Marino

Group I: Switzerland, Israel, Romania, Kosovo , Belarus, Andorra

Group J: Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Liechtenstein
