The swans take on Dundee United in what promises to be a competitive friendly at Tannadice at noon today. A very decent 2-1 win behind closed doors against Hearts at Tynecastle earlier in the week was exceptionally pleasing for the swans management team.

Speaking after the game manager Russell Martin reflected on the mid season break. “We had a good week of training at Fairwood last week, and we were really pleased with the mentality the lads showed after a short break. They have come back with a willingness and appetite to work seriously hard, and we have been through a really honest analysis of where we are at and the season so far. We have looked at what has been good, what has not been so good and what we want and need to improve on. We have had lots of good feedback from the group when we have talked about those elements and I feel we are all in agreement. That has fed nicely into this week and the two games we have as we look to implement some stuff we have been working on”

You can pay on the day but the ground is going through some renovation so supporters from both sides will be housed in the George Fox stand only.

A recommended pub close to the ground is the Airlie Arms on Dundonald Street, just a few minutes from the ground. The Mr Chippy fish bar outside the ground has some very reasonable reviews. Dens Park the home of Dundee is just two hundred yards away from Tannadice. There is on street parking.
