We are hearing that Brighton midfielder, Malick Yalcouyé is in final discussions before signing for the Swans on loan. The indication is there is a call back clause, but that is very much to be confirmed.

Our first indication that Malick was in serious discussions came a few days ago and then last night Liam tweeted via our X account the following.

Our latest information is that things are nearly there but it isn’t yet finalised with some more issues to review and sort out. That means despite all the financial talks, and there is big money involved the Swans won’t be announcing him today.

The reason being nothing has been signed.

Yes, the player is keen to come, if you recall we mentioned the choice of club would be his on Sunday.

Dialogue has been very much protracted, the loan fees & Malick’s wage aren’t just the only issues there’s so much more required and sometimes even more so with a prized loan player. So, despite our initial enthusiasm for this transfer, as of 4pm today there was still numerous conditions to satisfy.

He isn’t a Swans player yet, However, as we stated we expect him to be all done and dusted by Friday. Possibly before. The Swans are in the hot seat for this much sought after player. We hope the final terms can be agreed and signed shortly. We’ve always stated that these things can change by the hour and this one has changed in the last half an hour.
