![]() Wednesday, 6th Aug 2008 15:44 The Yorkshire Post claim that Millwall are ready to pounce with an offer for out-of-favour Leeds striker Tresor Kandol. The Congolese beanpole striker, who only agreed a new contract last year - may be on his way tot he New Dean. The "beans on toast" reckon that Millwall want the man Dennis Wise reportedly paid £200,000 for. Kandol arrived from Barnet in January 2007 and endured a torrid time, scoring just once in 18 matches as Leeds crashed into League One. He attracted a fair bit of attention from the boo-boys who were mystified why Dennis Wise kept faith in him. Wise was forever praising his work-rate and the big-man started 2007/08 on fire and was a pivotal force in Leeds unbeaten start to the season, eventually finishing second top scorer with 11 goals. But Tres has had a bit of a mare during the summer with illness and has been restricted to the reserve warm-up matches. It appears that the three strikers Macca has signed this summer, Enoch Showunmi, Robert Snodgrass and Luciano Becchio have more chance of partnering Jermaine Beckford up-front. So providing the money is right, particularly if those little charming animals from Bermondsey way are interested, then Macca may well let Tres leave to balance the squad and the books a bit.
