For the second week running County's League fixture is being officiated by a rookie referee, as this week Robert Lewis from Shropshire has been put in charge of our away match against Stevenage. Robert is in his first season as a National List referee after previously being a linesman.

The Shropshire based official has been running the line in the Premiership although he has now made the step up to become a referee in his own right. He has also been an assistant referee in many European matches and cites officiating in a Real Madrid game where David Beckham scored a trademark free-kick as being one of the highlights in his career so far.

Last weekend we also had another rookie ref as Mark Brown took charge of our home match with Wycombe and generally he did a decent job so hopefully the same will apply this weekend when we travel down to Hertfordshire.

John Busby from Oxfordshire and Steve Rubery from Essex will be the assistants at Broadhall Way.
