News Stories for Melker Widell

Swans collapse in a disastrous seventy five minutes of football Sat 29th Nov 2025
A brilliant start from Swansea City this afternoon dived into another order from the menu of disastrous football. Starters of no idea after fifteen minutes, with a main course of incompetence and a big desert of stupidity. They are now equal third bottom with Portsmouth who the Swans play at home on Tuesday 9th December (7:45pm) after a home game next Saturday against Oxford United (3pm)
West Bromwich Albion v Swansea City : Match Build Up & Team News Sat 29th Nov 2025
The Swans are at the Hawthorns this afternoon for their Championship fixture against West Bromwich Albion. We will carry some team news later and then will have the official announcement after that.
Swansea City : The glaringly obvious and Matos agrees Wed 26th Nov 2025
Vitor Matos saw a determined Swansea side for the first half an hour of last nights defeat against Derby County. The Rams made it their third win away from home for the first time in five years. Thereafter we saw a tepid display of poor control and a lack of endeavour which is creeping into the Swans play in recent games.
Swans 1 Rams 2 : Second half shocker as nothing changes, Vitor comments Tue 25th Nov 2025
There seemed to be promise, then there was frustration, poor passing, bad defending and a failure to take control of goalscoring opportunities. Basically welcome to Swansea City football.
Swans fail to score despite chances, O’Dea away is no different to Sheehan Sat 22nd Nov 2025
It was the same old story for the early kick off against Bristol City. Mistakes leading to goals, limited crossing power, periods of domination with no end result and to cap it all off when chances were made no ability to finish.
Bristol City v Swansea City : Vitor Matos is a Jack & TEAM NEWS Latest Sat 22nd Nov 2025
Today’s return to club football couldn't come quick enough after the now settled two week saga of off the field dramatics. The Swans with a sell out away support (again) head to Bristol for a 12:30pm kick off desperately needing a result.
Swansea City : Despite support from the board Sheehan has to go. Swans lose 4-1 at home Sat 08th Nov 2025
The misplaced passes were back, giving the ball away that led to a goal, a lack of awareness and a competitive edge that was missing ensured the Swans lost this game. The referee didn’t help matters but he wasn’t responsible for two Burgess own goals. We know the board want Sheehan to improve and they very much want him to succeed but this display was at a level only relegation threatened sides put in.
Match day morning Swans v Ipswich Sat 08th Nov 2025
Kick off is at 3pm. Below are our pre match reports and later today we will bring you team news.
Swansea City : Treat this like a cup final Alan. Latest Inc injuries plus Stamenić out Fri 07th Nov 2025
Without doubt Swansea City head coach, Alan Sheehan is under pressure to start presenting Swans fans with wins. Especially at home. That will be a difficult task tomorrow at the swansea.com (3pm) His choices will determine the result as we have said already his strategy tomorrow coupled with a fully prepared team giving 100% ‘for the whole game’ is required.
Swansea City : Alan Sheehan is going nowhere, so get used to it EXCLUSIVE Thu 06th Nov 2025
The pattern of results cannot go on as the Swans sit in seventeenth in the Championship this morning on seventeen points after two away games that should have been so different. The gap between the Swans and the play offs is six points. Not an unassailable position in a extremely tight league.
