All summer this site has been simmering away with a sort of doom-laden End of Days pessimism........ just waiting for the first moment we go one down or lose a match. Another Calamity Jane summer rebuild has left us sending out a defence with 4 of the 5 being 30 or older ( Perch is about to turn 30 ). Our new CB played for struggling Blackpool all last season. The quest for youth was a false dawn because our youth set up just doesn't produce the quality needed.

Doesn't make sense to me to train the squad all summer then put Konch in 3 days before start of season and other guy Perch 1 week. This loss will be a coaching mistake in his system of play.
